Just received my order of spices and herbs from World Spice from Seattle. The company has a lovely store just below Pike Place Market but also a terrific website where you can order spices in bulk, whole or ground, directly and have it shipped to your door.
Smells good to me. Having an online store alongside your retail store will be of essence for small businesses to survive the next few years.

I was recently invited to review and beta test a soon-to-be-released iPad app using the TestFlight API to deliver the app to my iPad. This is a brilliant service for app developers needing crucial beta testing experience which is something that is currently not possible through the Apple app store.
No, I can’t talk about the app I am reviewing… it’s lovely though.
Evan Meagher just launched a new website for collective recipe-sharing. Like the simplicity and feel of the site.
Only gripe I have with amateur recipe apps is that photos look so amateurish, which makes food look not appetizing, which is a bummer.
Perhaps the website should adopt black and white photography as a default like the Cook’s Illustrated magazine.
