Rethinking eBook Covers

Covers for eBook readers suck. Kindle or iPad none offer great covers.

Why not display the cover of the book currently being read on the device when it is sleeping? I love book covers, and I miss seeing them when I’m reading something, so why display them?

Like this. Wish the ‘electronic advances’ wouldn’t kill everything that’s great about print. LP covers, book covers. And usually not replacing them with anything greater. Why not make a moving/animated cover or something.
