True and thanks for writing it out like that. But what puzzles me is that they call it “modern” day journalism. Hasn’t journalism always been about eyeballs? I mean, the business of journalism. Sure, like in every profession there are always those individuals that are in it for the greater good, but in reality, money, subscription or circulation numbers = eyeballs have always been the aim of the game. Always.
