At the last Apple Keynote. Nothing revolutionary was announced. There was no fire, no excitement.

Marco Arment:

Part of it was the lack of surprises, which isn’t Apple’s fault. All of the product upgrades, while nice, were incremental and predictable. None of the pricing was a surprise.

Perhaps the company took a breather. With the iPad Apple still has a huge market lead over any serious competition and what us Apple faithfuls never consider is the shit ton of extra hard work employees in Cupertino put in to release their magical products. There is new leadership and the ship is sailing more smoothly now. There might be more focus on a more realistic work day.

At least that’s what I am hoping for them and for us.
