… and underdelivering.

Two very successful, yet unrelated Kickstarter campaigns send out notices to their backers today delaying the shipment of their products and begging for patience.

Both the hyper-popular Pebble watch and the Flint and Tinder underwear campaign are behind schedule and amids progress photos and vague shipment promises lies a growing problem with those campaigns of over-promising and under-delivering.

Of course, both campaigns received 10 times as much money as they initially asked for, so it’s understandable that the creators have to adjust their roadmap for production but Kickstarter needs to keep an eye out for this, as this could result in Kickstarter fatigue in this world where we don’t hold our attention for a very long time and if it becomes the norm that campaigns take months to send their product people might be reluctant to fund new projects in the future.
