For the last few years Twitter had been the commentary track for the internet, but now the company seems to be are diverting their efforts and are focusing on the other screen – the Television. On that screen you can still make boatloads of money, that’s why they are after those users. I think every single high-tweet record over the last view years came as a results of a televised event, or an earthquake, but you can’t build a business on those, can you?
